Buenos Aires, December 18 (NA) – The labor reform pushed by the government of Javier Milei will be debated in the Senate on February 10, as part of extraordinary sessions. Legislative sources confirmed this to the Argentine News Agency. The change in the calendar for the bill's treatment, which on Thursday motivated a massive march by the General Confederation of Labor (CGT), responds to the need to build broader consensus on the official proposal, clarified the head of the La Libertad Avanza (LLA) bloc, Patricia Bullrich. The CGT marched in Plaza de Mayo against the labor reform and announced a 'national strike'. Bullrich also clarified that the bill is open to new changes during the final stage of the plenary sessions of the Budget and Finance, and Labor and Social Security commissions. At 4 p.m. on Thursday, the meeting resumed after a recess to listen to the last speakers, and then Bullrich announced the postponement of the labor reform's treatment. To secure the majority report, the head of the LLA bloc will maintain negotiations over the next month and a half with the UCR, PRO, and provincial blocs of Misiones, Salta, Tucumán, Santa Cruz and Chubut, Neuquén, and Federal Change.
